Paula Pino

Paulapart's sonic Om Shell sculptures are acoustic instruments that can produce any sound from within their curved hollow bodies. They are modeled after the spiral forms of conch shells, gramophones, and the human cochlea for their special ability to amplify sound using acoustic resonance. Om Shells are both stand-alone sculptures and functional speaker cabinets that will filter and expand any music, sound or noise that is played through the loudspeaker inside them.
